RESOURCES FOR YOUR KIDS
We know that for those of you with kids in your care, this time is full of a lot of changes for them when it comes to their schedules and routines. It will also be full of questions from them about what’s happening and why. We want to do our best to equip you with resources to help you as you lead them through these changes and questions.
One way we are doing that is by providing you with resources for studying the Bible at home with your kids. We use the Gospel Project for Kids by LifeWay in our Cross United Kids groups on Sundays and we will pick right back up where we left off when we do gather again in person. But in this unusual time of not gathering in person, we are excited to share that LifeWay has given us a FREE LifeWay Kids at Home Digital Pass to share with YOU! Kids Ministry doesn't have to stop!
LifeWay Kids at Home will give you access to the Kids Bible Study For Life series which includes a brief “Introductions and Instructions” video for you to explain the material, a bible video session to watch with your kids, a downloadable activity page for your kids to do, and a conversation starter page to help you talk through the Bible lesson with your kids.
To access LifeWay Kids at Home, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Go to my.lifeway.com/redeem
Step 2: Register if you are a new user or if you have a LifeWay Account, log in. This is completely FREE!
Step 3: Enter this redemption code: VZMD4SSQ38
Step 4: Click “Access” (if prompted to sign in again, sign in) and then click “My Dashboard,” and go to LifeWay Kids at Home
Step 5: Download your Activity Page (one per child) and one Conversation Sheet to use as you watch the video session.
We hope having access to these free digital resources will help you study the Bible with your family today!
The second way we want to equip you is with some resources on how to talk about the COVID-19 Pandemic with your kids. Below are links to just a few resources to help you as you talk with your kids in the coming days. Some are overtly Christian resources and others are not but yet they provide helpful information and tips for talking about the pandemic with your kids. We hope these will be a help to your family whether you have toddlers or teenagers
